Term 4 starts 18th October - web site will switch over mid-SeptemberFor most of us the start of the new era of 2010 brings with it many new and personal challenges, and we at North West Community College are no different.
This year brought with it the retirement of our very dedicated, hard working Principal of 21 years, Eela Morar. Eela has been heavily involved in a number challenges over the years. Her strong commitment both in the Educational and everyday running of our college has reaped many positive benefits for the wider community and its members. We all wish her well in her much deserved retirement.
I look forward to ‘expanding my horizons’ as I commence my new role as College Manager (Public Officer) of North West Community College. I have worn many different hats, from teaching through to administration, during my association with the college in the past 18 years and always enjoy new challenges. I look ahead to a productive 2010 working with the dedicated college staff, teachers, co-ordinators and the local community.
I invite you all to ‘expand your horizons’ and take on new challenges. We have a wide range of interesting courses to explore and enjoy. Take the time to do something just for you, take up a new hobby like Drawing & Sketching and make new friends, learn a new skill such as Dressmaking to help stretch the budget, improve your job prospects by enrolling in a Computer or Business course, or give your mind and body a new lease of life by enjoying some fun-filled Dance classes or relaxing Yoga or Meditation.
I take this opportunity to send my greetings to all our past, present and new students, and wish you all a fulfilling year ahead.
